Core Values
Community Development is a process where community members come together to take collective action and generate solutions to common problems concerning community well-being (economic, social, environmental, cultural, etc.) that need to be on the front burner of every nation.
It is a grassroots process by which the community achieves socio-economic cultural and environmental goals. It seeks to improve the quality of life resulting in natural benefits and shared responsibilities among community members.
Who are the Community Members?
They include men, women, and youths, children aged and disabled. Based on the above, communities in Nigeria rarely exhibit the potential to enable them to find common solutions to common problems. Hence, COMDEV seeks ways to unlock those potentials, bearing in mind that most government interventions and programs for the community rarely get to the grassroots.
